Describe your project

Type it the way you’d say it to a friend: “redo my kitchen,” “fix the soft spot in the bathroom floor,” “add a deck.” No long forms, and no account needed to get started.

Get a personalized project plan

HomeHats asks a few quick questions, then breaks your project into plain-language tasks and puts them in a sensible order. You’ll see:

  • what the work involves, step by step
  • which parts you could reasonably do yourself, and which need a licensed pro
  • which trades you’ll need to hire, and a realistic range of how long it may take

Find the right pros

For each trade you decide to hire out, we show local contractors with their Google ratings and review counts, plus questions worth asking before you agree to anything. You contact them directly, on your terms.

What we don’t do

We don’t estimate costs, because local pricing varies too much to guess honestly. We don’t sell your contact information. Contractors don’t pay per lead, and you never pay HomeHats to use it.
